# Expedition Setup

Before your miners descend into the unknown, you'll need to carefully plan each expedition. The setup phase is where strategy begins — every choice will shape the outcome.

***

## 1. Select Your Miners

* You may choose up to **15 active miners** per expedition.
* Consider:
 * **Stamina** levels
 * **Addiction** resistance
 * **Age** and remaining vitality
 * **Skills and synergies**
* Balance **rarity and risk**: higher rarity offers better performance, but also more costly to rejuvenate.

***

## 2. Equip Relics

* Each miner can carry **2 unique relics**.
* Relics affect:
 * Mining speed
 * Artifact quality
 * Trap avoidance
 * Recovery time
* Plan carefully — duplicate relics across the team **are not allowed**.

***

## 3. Choose Boosters

* Only **1 Booster** can be active at a time.
* Boosters apply to the entire expedition and may:
 * Increase artifact drop rates
 * Boost relic efficiency
 * Lower stamina consumption
* Activating a new Booster **cancels** the current one.

***

## 4. Define the Expedition Depth

* Deeper layers mean:
 * Better rewards
 * Stronger traps
 * Higher addiction gain
* Customize your risk profile depending on:
 * Miner stamina
 * Current addiction levels
 * Artifact needs

***

## 5. Review and Launch

* Final checklist:
 * Team synergy ✅
 * Stamina & addiction under control ✅
 * Relics and booster equipped ✅
 * Strategic depth chosen ✅

Press "Launch" and watch your miners begin their journey! You’ll receive updates as they delve deeper — and face whatever lurks in the dark.

***

### Pro Tip

High risk brings high reward... but **don’t get greedy**. Sometimes, pulling out early is the best long-term move.
